It has been about 18 months since I have written anything here. It is not that I have not been writing. In fact, I have been writing quite a bit on my news website, I-Witness News.
However, over the past few weeks, I have been thinking that I should write a few pieces here, including about how my career has progressed over the past year or so since my exit from “mainstream” media, after a brief 6-month stint.
Today, I return to let my readers here know that I will be returning to Taiwan on May 18 as part of an international press group participating in a programme on eco-living in Taiwan.
This visit will be a very brief, 6-day return to the country where I obtained my university education and where I lived for 6 years — 2006 to 2012 — and developed some very strong friendships.
In my next entry, I hope to share with you some of the insights I obtained during a three-week visit to the United States as part of the U.S. State Department International Visitor Leadership Program.
The programme brought together 23 professional from 23 nations, united by their cutting edge use of new media.
So, until then, so long. I promise that you won’t have to wait another 18 months to hear from me again.
